If you have a sore or wound that hasn't started to heal in a month, or healed entirely in two months, the Wound Care Center at Northern Nevada Medical Center can help. The Wound Care Center provides advanced treatment, including two hyperbaric chambers for oxygen therapy, to treat slow- and non-healing wounds.

The Wound Care Center at NNMC recently received the Center of Excellence Award for the second consecutive year and the Center of Distinction Award for Quality Patient Care. It has also been named a Healogics Robert A. Warriner III, MD, Center of Excellence by meeting the Center of Distinction quality standards for Healogics, Inc. The Wound Care Center has been named a Center of Distinction five times and a Center of Excellence three times.

How Non-healing Wounds Are Treated

Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy provides high-pressure oxygen in a pressurized cylinder, called a hyperbaric chamber.
