Executive Physicals
Through Northern Nevada Medical Center, executives can receive comprehensive physicals from a physician who is board certified in internal medicine. In addition, a customized package of services can be developed to meet an executive's specific needs or conform with a corporate program. All significant findings are documented in a confidential medical record and copies of the results with recommendations are presented to the patient. The report can be sent directly to the patient's personal physician for assessment and follow-up care.

Mammography

Women older than 40— or younger women with a family history of breast cancer - should have annual mammograms to fight this disease which affects one in nine women. In the Diagnostic Breast Care Center's quiet and reassuring setting, the Center's team of highly-qualified mammography professionals are uniquely attuned to the health concerns of women.

Osteoporosis Treatment

After menopause, all women are at risk for osteoporosis, but a family history of the disease, being of slender build, being an Asian or Caucasian woman, smoking, inactive lifestyle, excessive alcohol use and chronic use of certain medications also increase risk. Diagnosed early enough, osteoporosis is both treatable and preventable. Northern Nevada's Vista Osteoporosis Center provides low-dose x-ray bone density screening, the best method for early detection. Osteoporosis screening qualifies for Medicare reimbursement.

Senior Bridges of Northern Nevada Medical Center

Senior Bridges is dedicated to the community's need for high quality behavioral health services for those 55 years of age and older. Staffed by psychiatrists, primary care and specialty physicians, psychologists, social workers and other geriatric health professionals, Senior Bridges provides inpatient and outpatient day programs for seniors who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress or other emotional difficulties.

Chest Pain Center
The Chest Pain Center provides a highly-skilled team of cardiology professionals. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patients receive sophisticated testing and treatment and fast, triage for chest pain, dysrhythmias and other heart emergencies. Services include noninvasive testing, interventional cardiology and physician admission to a private room in the Chest Pain Center.

Minimally Invasive Surgery
As medical technology improves, more and more surgeries are performed with minimally invasive techniques. As an alternative to traditional "open" surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries can result in reduced scarring, shortened hospital stays and decreased recovery times all of which can contribute to improved patient care. Northern Nevada Medical Center's surgery department specializes in minimally invasive procedures, including endoscopy, urological procedures, arthroscopic surgery, breast biopsy, splenectomy, intestinal surgery, and cholecystectomy.
