Food & Nutrition Department Services
It is our goal to make your stay as comfortable as possible and provide you healthy, well-balanced meals to aid in your recovery and treatment. Northern Nevada Medical Center provides a variety of nutritious meal options that can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
When your provider places you on a diet you will be provided a menu from which you can choose your meals. Meals can be ordered by calling our roomservice line at 775-356-4091 between the hours of 6:30 am – 6:30 pm.
Our knowledgeable team members can help you to choose a meal that meets the nutritional goals prescribed by your providers. If you have any specific dietary needs or food allergies, please let our dietary aides and nursing staff know so that we may better serve you.
If you prefer not to order your meals, we are happy to assist by providing you with a standard tray specially chosen for your prescribed diet.
We encourage all guests to enjoy meals in the cafeteria on the 1st Floor of the hospital. Guest meal trays through room service are available for $8 when the cafeteria is closed.
Cafe
Vista Peak Grill cafeteria on the first floor serves coffee, breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday. The coffee bar is open from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., breakfast is served 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Vending Machines
Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located in the Vista Peak Grill and the emergency department entrance are available 24 hours a day.
