Your Hospital Bill

Your daily room rate includes many items such as meals and maintenance of the room. Charges for nursing care and special services ordered by your physician, such as x-rays, laboratory tests, the provision of blood products and medications, as well as operating room and anesthesia charges, are listed separately. Your attending physician's fee and any consulting physicians' fees will not be included in your hospital bill; these physicians will bill you separately.

You can expect a final bill approximately seven days after discharge. If you have questions concerning your bill, please contact the billing department at 800-323-5151. A representative can answer questions about your hospital bill and help you interpret financial policies and billing procedures at the hospital.

Your Emergency Department Bill

The emergency department physicians at Northern Nevada Medical Center are private doctors who provide treatment, diagnostic services and/or supervision of care for patients they encounter in the emergency department.

If you receive a bill from the Emergency Physicians, it will pertain only to these professional services. If you are sent a bill from the hospital, it will only pertain to charges incurred for the use of the emergency department treatment area, technical and ancillary personnel, supplies and equipment. It will not include the Emergency Physicians' fee. If you have questions pertaining to the Emergency Physician's bill, please contact the business office Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1-800-355-2470.
